BLAT Eligibility Criteria
BLAT Eligibility Criteria must be met by all applicants. The educational and age criteria for BLAT 2022 entrance examination for different law courses at BHU are given below.
BLAT Eligibility Criteria for LLB (Hons.) Courses
For LLB Honours at BHU candidates should satisfy the following eligibility requirements;
• Educational Qualification: Applicants who want to apply for the exam must have completed BA, B.Sc., B. Com, or any equivalent exam from a known university or institute.
• Minimum marks: Applicants who want to apply for the entrance exam must have scored at least 50% marks in the qualifying exams.
• Age Criteria: Applicants who are below the age of 30 years are eligible to apply for the exam.
BLAT Eligibility Criteria for BA LLB (Hons.) Courses
For BA LLB Honours, the given eligibility requirements are mandatory for appearing and attending the examination.
• Educational Qualification: HSC exams or any equivalent exam in any stream should be completed by the applicant.
• Minimum Marks: Applicants who want to apply for the entrance exam must have scored at least 50% marks (45% marks for OBC category applicants and 40% marks for SC, ST category applicants) in the qualifying exams.
• Age Criteria: Applicants who are of 20 years are eligible to apply for the exam.
Appearing Applicants: Applicants who are in process of the final exam of the HSC are also eligible to apply for the exam.
BLAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria for LLM Courses
Candidates applying for LLM, which is the master's level law course, should satisfy the following eligibility requirements.
• Educational Qualification: Applicants who want to apply for the exam must hold a three-year or five-year LLB degree from a known university or college.
• Minimum marks: 50% marks should be obtained by the applicants who want to apply for the exam.
• Age Criteria: There is no maximum age limit to apply for LLM.
BLAT Exam Pattern -
BLAT 2022 Exam Pattern and Syllabus is set by Banaras Hindu University. BLAT 2022 Exam Pattern for UG courses includes 4 sections, i.e.
• English/ Hindi Language
• General Awareness & Current Affairs
• Common Legal Knowledge
• Aptitude
• Mental Ability.
BLAT 2022 Exam Pattern for PG course include topics like Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, Law of Crimes, Environmental Law, Public International Law, Indian Evidence Act, Hindu Law, and Muslim Law
• Aspirants who wish to pursue a career in Law under the prestigious Banaras Hindu University must clear the cut-off marks in the national level law entrance test.
• BLAT 2022 Exam Pattern consists of all important information regarding the exam, such as the number of questions, types of questions, number of sections, and marking scheme.
• BLAT exam tests the candidates’ knowledge for admissions into LLB (Hons.) and BA LLB (Hons.) courses are offered by the university and its affiliated colleges.
