SNAP Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution. The degree should be awarded by a statutory university or institute recognized by the Ministry of Education/AICTE/UGC.
- Minimum Percentage: There is no specific minimum percentage requirement for SNAP. However, candidates must check the individual eligibility criteria of the participating institutes where they wish to apply, as some institutes may have minimum percentage requirements.
- Foreign Nationals/PIO/OCI/ NRI/International Candidates: Foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), NRI, and international candidates can also apply. They must have obtained an equivalent qualification recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). They are required to obtain a certificate of equivalence from the AIU and submit it at the time of admission.
- Registration: Candidates must register and pay the application fee for SNAP within the specified deadlines. Only registered candidates can appear for the SNAP Test.
The Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test evaluates candidates' aptitude in various areas. The SNAP syllabus generally covers the following topics:
- General English: Reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, vocabulary, grammar, sentence correction, synonyms, antonyms, idioms, and phrases.
- Quantitative, Data Interpretation, and Data Sufficiency: Number system, algebra, geometry, arithmetic, percentages, profit and loss, time and work, ratio and proportion, averages, logarithms, probability, permutation and combination, data interpretation (tables, graphs, charts), data sufficiency.
- Analytical and Logical Reasoning: Analogies, series, blood relations, direction sense, seating arrangement, coding and decoding, syllogisms, statement and conclusion, logical reasoning, visual reasoning.
- General Awareness: Current affairs, business and economics, politics, sports, history, geography, awards and honors, science and technology, social issues, books and authors.
