LAT - The University of Allahabad conducts its own Law Entrance Exam which is known as  AU (LAT) which stands for Law Admission Test. The exam is conducted for admissions to its 3 year LLB. courses. The University of Allahabad also conductes LFAT (Law Faculty Admission Test) which is also a Law Entrance Exam taking by candidates to qualify and take admission in 5 year integrated BA. LLB. (Hons.) .

The exam is a pen and paper based test mode and a candidate need to complete the exam in the time duration of 2 hours. The total questions which the exam consists of is 150 questions and which is of total 300 marks.

The exam consists of the following sections:

• General Awareness

• Language Comprehension

• Reasoning

• Legal Aptitude.

The Law Faculty Admission Test (LFAT) is conducted by University of Allahabad for admissions to five-years Integrated LLB (Hons) course which is offered at the Faculty of Law, and its constituent colleges. The exam is conducted at the national level by the University of Allahabad in a pen-paperbased test mode. 

 

LFAT Eligibility Criteria -

Candidates who plan to appear in the university-level exam should consult the Allahabad University BA LLB eligibility criteria. If a candidate fails to meet the eligibility criteria of Allahabad University requirements, such candidates may be disqualified from the admission process.

Eligibility criteria of Allahabad University BA LLB -

• Academic qualification: One should have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam

• Marks required: General category must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate, the OBC category needs 42% while SC/ST category candidates need 40% marks in aggregate

• Age limit: No age limit has been prescribed for appearing in the exam.

Exam pattern of LFAT -

Since Allahabad University BA LLB admission is set to be conducted through CUET. The candidates should refer to the CUET law exam pattern and syllabus for their preparation.

LFAT exam pattern -

One of the first thing candidates prepare for the exam to do is to consult the LFAT exam pattern. The exam pattern will contain information on in what mode the exam will be conducted, test duration, official marking scheme, subjects from which questions will be asked, and weightage of marks.
