IIM Udaipur opts out of CAP (Common Admission Process), it will conduct its own admission process for its MBA program. Earlier IIM Udaipur along with other newer IIMs used to participate in the CAP where candidates used to go through a single Admission Process, i.e, documentation and (GD/WAT/PI) round for all the participating IIMs.

After the Change in Admission Process of IIM Udaipur, institute will shortlist candidates appearing for CAT 2025 for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT). Admission Process for IIM Udaipur will be conducted across key Indian cities and at the IIM Udaipur campus, ensuring proper accessibility for candidates nationwide.

Commenting on the decision Prof. Vijayta Doshi, Dean (Programs), IIM Udaipur, said: "In just over a decade, IIM Udaipur has built a strong national and international reputation. As we progress towards our goal of becoming a globally recognized management school, it is imperative that our admissions process mirrors our academic priorities and aspirations."

With this new decision, Institute will be able to: • Shortlist candidates according to its academic priorities. • Make changes in its selection process on its own. • Offer a seamless and applicant-focused admissions experience.
