WHAT IS IPMAT?

IPMAT stands for Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test. It is an entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Management INDORE (IIM-I), for admission in their Five-Year Integrated Program in Management (IPM). IPM is a unique program that combines undergraduate and postgraduate studies in management, allowing students to pursue a management education right after completing their 12th standard (or equivalent). The IPMAT exam evaluates candidates on their aptitude in quantitative ability, verbal ability and logical reasoning. It is a highly competitive exam and qualifying it opens up opportunities for students to pursue a career in management from a young age.

 Exam Pattern Indore 

The pattern of the Test will be as follows:

There will be three sections in the Aptitude Test namely Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question-SA) and Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ).

Ø  Each question will carry 4 marks.
Ø  There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer except Quantitative Ability (SA) Section (these questions will not carry any negative marking).
Ø  The AT will be structured as under Section Time duration for the section QA (MCQ) 40 Minutes, QA (SA) 40 Minutes, VA (MCQ) 40 Minutes.
Ø  Candidate must answer the sections in a pre-specified order and this order will remain same for all the candidates.
 

      Selection Procedure  

ü  Aptitude Test – 65% Weightage

ü  Interview – 35% Weightage

 

  Eligibility Criteria   

  1. Candidate must have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10 or SSC and in Class 12 or HSC or equivalent exams for General, NCOBC and EWS category.
  2. Candidate must have obtained a minimum of 55% aggregate in Class 10 or SSC and in Class 12 or HSC or equivalent exams for SC, ST and PWD category.
  3. Candidates in the final year of Class 12 standard are also eligible to apply. Such candidates will be provided admissions provisionally.
  4. Candidate must be a maximum 20 years of age.
  5. 5 years of age relaxation to the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category will be given.
