Class 12 is already packed. You deal with board prep, school exams, mock papers, and on top of that, people keep talking about IPMAT. In the middle of it all, one question shows up again and again. When should you register, and what are you supposed to do?
If this is what you are thinking, this write up is for you. Here is what you need for IPMAT Rohtak registration 2027. You will find the application steps, the fee details, the likely last date, the eligibility rules, and the full process in clear order. I also included the common slips students make every year, so you do not repeat them.
One more thing before you start. As of October 2026, IIM Rohtak has not shared the official IPMAT 2027 notice. The dates mentioned here are only expected. They are based on the pattern from the 2026 round. Keep an eye on iimrohtak.ac.in and check again when the brochure is released.

About IPMAT Rohtak and why students apply
IPMAT Rohtak is the entry test used by IIM Rohtak for its IPM course for students after Class 12. The end result is an integrated BBA and MBA in the IIM system. You do not have to take the CAT later.
It is not the same as the IPMAT done by Indore.
IIM Indore has its own test. It has its own application and its own format. Many students mix them up because people sometimes speak about both under one name.
Why many students pick the Rohtak route
- Logical Reasoning is included, along with Quant and Verbal
- You get 120 minutes in total, with no sectional timing pressure
- A smaller intake, 198 seats for the 2026-31 batch
- The selection uses more than the exam day. It also considers your boards and your interview
Because the seats are limited, your application matters a lot. If you make careless errors, the harm can be bigger than a weak practice score.
IPMAT Rohtak Exam Date 2027 and the Registration Schedule (Expected)
First, check what took place in 2026. If you want clues for 2027, the previous year usually shows the rhythm.
IPMAT Rohtak 2026 (what happened)
- Registration began: 6 February 2026
- Last date to apply: 6 April 2026
- Admit card out: 22 April 2026
- Exam held on: 10 May 2026
- Interview calls: last week of May
- Personal interviews: second week of June
- Final list: second week of July
- Session started: third week of August
IPMAT Rohtak 2027 (expected from 2026)
- Registration opens: first week of February 2027
- Last date to apply: first week of April 2027
- Admit card: late April 2027
- Exam date: second week of May 2027, likely on a Sunday
Look at the gap between steps. It is close to two months overall.
That long stretch can feel easy, but it can also work as a downside.
Why the 'Last Date' Is Not Your Real Deadline
Every year, students tell themselves, 'I'll fill it later, there's plenty of time.' Then the final week arrives with board practicals, a mock test, a family function, and a portal that slows down because thousands of people are logging in together.
Here is what we suggest instead: treat the first two weeks after registration opens as your personal deadline. Fill the form calmly, pay the fee, download the confirmation, and move on. You will thank yourself in April.
Action step: open your phone calendar right now and add a reminder for 1 February 2027 that says, 'Check IIM Rohtak website for IPMAT.' It takes ten seconds.
IPMAT Rohtak Eligibility 2027: Are You Ready to Apply?
The official criteria for 2027 will come with the notification, but IIM Rohtak's rules have been fairly steady. Based on the 2026 cycle, here is what to expect for IPMAT Rohtak eligibility 2027:
- Class 12 status: you should have passed Class 12 (or an equivalent exam), or be appearing for it in the year of admission.
- Marks: at least 60% aggregate in both Class 10 and Class 12 for General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates. For SC, ST and PwD candidates, the requirement is 55%.
- Age limit: in 2026, candidates had to be a maximum of 20 years old as on 30 June 2026. SC and ST candidates got a five-year relaxation, taking the limit to 25.
If the same rule continues, the 2027 cut-off date would likely mean being born on or after 1 July 2007 for the general limit. Please treat that as our estimate and verify it in the official brochure.
Repeat Questions We Hear in Class 12 Days
“Is it possible if I am still in Class 12?” Yes. If you are taking your Class 12 exams this year, you can submit the form. You must meet the minimum marks rule. Your seat will be marked as provisional until your result is out.
“My school gave me CGPA, not a percentage.” Use your board’s official way to convert CGPA to percentage. For CBSE, for example, the common method is CGPA multiplied by 9.5. Use the correct formula. Do not make a guess. Do not round off.
“I am a bit under 60%. Can I apply?” Let us be clear. The 60% requirement is a strict cut off. Read the brochure closely. If you are not sure, ask a counsellor before you pay the fee.
One more point. Your Class 10 and Class 12 marks do not only decide if you qualify. They are also used in the final selection. We will explain that next. This means your school work in the coming months matters more than many IPMAT applicants expect.
IPMAT Rohtak Fee Details for 2027: Expected Cost
Most students start worrying about fees first, so here are the basics.
For the 2026 IPMAT Rohtak cycle, the application fee was ₹4,937. That figure stayed the same across all categories. No extra discount was given to reserved categories. Also, once you paid, the fee was not refundable.
The IPMAT Rohtak fees for 2027 will come out when the official notice is released. We expect the number to be close to the last one. Still, a small change is possible.
Quick do’s before you pay:
- Use only the official website. Do not use payment links shared on WhatsApp or Telegram by strangers.
- You pay online. Common options include net banking, cards, and UPI. Choose what works best for you.
- Save proof of payment. Take a screenshot of the confirmation and keep the transaction reference.
- Do not pay two times by mistake. If money leaves your account but the portal still shows pending status, wait a bit. Then reach out to the helpdesk with the transaction details.
If you are comparing exams, IIM Indore’s general-category fee in a recent cycle was ₹4,130. That one has concessions for reserved categories. Rohtak does not.
If you plan to apply to both, set aside the amounts together. Also include other exams you might take, like CUET, CLAT, or SET. It is easier to talk to your parents about this in February, not at the last minute.
IPMAT Rohtak application form for 2027: things to have first
The form itself is manageable. The trouble starts when you need a document and you do not have it with you. Before you log in, arrange the items below.
- Class 10 and Class 12 info: Keep roll number, marks or grades, board name, and year of passing. If you are still studying in Class 12, have your school details and your exam details ready.
- Photo and signature: Have a recent passport size photo. Also keep your signature ready in scan form. Make sure the scan is clear. Also confirm the size and file rules from the brochure.
- Category certificate: If you are applying through a reserved category, keep that certificate ready.
- Proof of date of birth: This is usually taken from your Class 10 certificate.
- Contact details: Use an email ID and a mobile number that you will check often.
- Payment option: Have your payment method ready. Do a quick check before you begin.
One last point. In the 2026 cycle, you could not edit details after registration, including your name, date of birth, phone number, and email. So enter everything the same way as your Class 10 certificate. Then review once more before you submit.
Applying for IPMAT Rohtak 2027: Registration Steps
When the official notice comes out, you can expect the registration to follow the same general path as 2026. If the website layout changes a little, the main steps stay the same.
- First, open the official site Go to iimrohtak.ac.in. Look for the section related to IPM admissions. Add that page to your bookmarks.
- Next, wait for the registration link to become active. As soon as it is live, open that link.
- Then, set up your account. You will enter basic personal details to get a User ID and a password. Save these details somewhere secure. You will need them later for the admit card.
- After that, sign in to your account. Open the application form from your dashboard.
- Now fill out the required fields. Add your personal details and your school records for Class 10 and Class 12. Enter your category as asked. Provide contact details too.
- After the form details are done, upload the required files. This includes your photograph and signature. Also upload any other documents the form asks for.
- Next comes the payment. Pay the application fee online. Wait until you see the payment confirmation.
- Before you send the form, check every section carefully. Then submit it. Download your completed application copy and keep it. It helps to save it on your phone and also keep a copy in your email.
Done. Many students complete the whole form within about an hour, especially when they have the documents ready.
Mistakes That Cost Students Dearly
We meet plenty of IPMAT, CLAT, CUET, and CAT aspirants. The same errors show up again and again.
- Typos in your name or date of birth: A tiny slip can turn into a big issue later.
- An email address you hardly use: Updates land there, like interview messages.
- Photos or files that are blurry or not the right size: If your picture is rejected, you may need to redo it fast.
- Ignoring the brochure: Many questions about rules are answered early, in the first pages.
- Waiting until the final week to finish: We have told you before, and it still holds true.
After You Apply: Exam Pattern and What Decides Your Selection
Registration is just the first step. Once you sign up, you need to know how the exam works and what actually decides the final short list. Below is the 2026 layout.
Exam pattern
- The test is online and computer based.
- It has three parts: Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability.
- Each part has 40 MCQs, so there are 120 questions in total.
- Correct answers give you 4 marks.
- Wrong answers cost you 1 mark.
- Total marks are 480.
- You get 120 minutes.
- There is no separate time limit for each section.
Syllabus coverage
- Quantitative Ability: includes algebra, arithmetic, the number system, geometry, and modern maths.
- Logical Reasoning: includes basic LR like blood relations, common LR sets, and visual puzzles.
- Verbal Ability: includes grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary, analogies, para jumbles, sentence completion, and error spotting.
How the 2026 merit list was made
- IPMAT score: 55%
- Personal interview: 15%
- Class 12 marks: 20%
- Class 10 marks: 10%
Go back and look at it again. About one third of your final result comes from the boards. Another 15 percent comes from the interview. So one strong IPMAT score will not do all the work by itself. The students who score well usually link school marks, exam practice, and speaking skills into one plan.
If you are watching the schedule too, the 2026 interview invites went out in the last week of May. The interviews happened in the second week of June. For 2027, expect a similar timeline.
Your plan before IPMAT Rohtak registration starts in 2027
Registration will take about an hour. The main effort comes later. If it is October right now, you have time.
Here is a simple path you can follow.
Now to December
- Focus on Class 9 and 10 math. NCERT is ok at this stage.
- Read something each day. A newspaper editorial works. So does a strong feature or article. Try for about 30 minutes.
- Do a few logic puzzles every day. Even five questions a day is fine.
January
- Do one full length mock test. Use it as a diagnostic to judge your level.
- Choose your two weakest topics. Give them extra time each week.
Also, check the basics
- Upload your photo and signature. Gather your certificates.
- Confirm your email and phone number.
February: do it early
- Fill the IPMAT Rohtak form in the first 14 days.
- After that, put all your time back into prep.
March to April: work on accuracy
- Try two complete mocks each week.
- Also, study the results for at least as long as you take the mock.
- Work on timing too. Rohtak does not have a section cap, so try different time splits.
- A lot of students start near 40 minutes per section, then tweak it after they see how it goes.
Early May: keep your mind steady
- Review formulas and key shortcuts.
- Get your admit card download done.
- Make sure you sleep well.
If you are handling CUET or board work along with this, do not stress. Many students are in the same situation. With a clear routine, it becomes easier to manage.
Should You Submit for IPMAT Indore Also?
For many students, the answer is yes. These are two different exams. They use separate forms, separate fees, and different overall patterns. Still, the study work overlaps a lot. Quant and Verbal prep in one usually helps with the other.
One key point matters more than the rest. IPMAT Rohtak has a Logical Reasoning part. There is also no section-wise time limit. IPMAT Indore runs with sectional timing. In Indore, the Quant part includes short answers that are not multiple choice.
Many students say Rohtak feels easier to enter than Indore. But it is still tough if your basics are not solid.
If you apply to both, you get more chances. Just do not spread your prep so thin that you lose speed or accuracy in either exam.
