About NMAT by GMAC 2018

The MBA entrance exam conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) is known as NMAT by GMAC. The NMAT by GMAC 2018 exam scores will be accepted by NMIMS University and 25 other management institutes across India. The two-hour computer-based test is conducted in a 75-day long window commencing from October 4 to December 17, 2018. The total number of retakes allowed in NMAT 2018 exam is three including no-shows. NMAT 2018 will be conducted at 44 Indian cities in all and 4 international centres. The online application form for NMAT by GMAC 2018 is made available to candidates from July 3 and will continue until October 3, 2018.

NMAT by GMAC 2018 Eligibility Criteria

NMAT by GMAC 2018 eligibility criteria is prescribed by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the conducting authority of NMAT. Test aspirants should meet the NMAT by GMAC eligibility criteria 2018 in order to apply for NMAT by GMAC exam.

  • Applicants should obtain a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institute with at least 50 percent marks.
  • Moreover, candidates with two or more years of work experience will be given preference.
  • Final year students of Bachelor’s degree (regular) will be eligible to apply as well and get provisional admission. However, it is only after clearing final year exam in the first attempt with at least 50 per cent marks, that candidates would be offered final admission.
  • Age Limit: There is no age limit to take NMAT 2018 examination.
  • All applicants need to submit their original documents within the stipulated time.

The NMAT 2018 eligibility criteria varies within participating institutes; so prior to selecting the five preferred institutes during the NMAT 2018 registration, aspirants must ensure to check each institute’s eligibility criteria.

The NMAT by GMAC 2018 online registration commenced from July 3, and candidates can fill the online registration form until October 3 without paying the stipulated late fee. NMAT by GMAC aspirants can register for the exam anytime during the mentioned three months (July- October).

The late registration process of NMAT 2018 will begin on October 4 and continue until October 14, along with payment of the late fee of Rs. 2500. Only the eligible candidates should fill the NMAT application form 2018. Post payment, a unique NMAT Registration ID is generated and sent to candidates via their registered email ID.

With the help of the NMAT registration ID and Password, candidates can login to the NMAT web account to either schedule the exam date or download the admit card.

NMAT by GMAC 2018 Exam Pattern

The NMAT by GMAC 2018 exam pattern is prescribed by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the exam conducting authority. The exam pattern of NMAT by GMAC 2018 will aid candidates to become familiar with the type of questions, scoring scheme, time duration, number of questions, and many more.

This year, NMAT by GMAC exam window will begin from October 4, 2018, and continue until December 17, 2018. A computer-based test of 120 minutes duration, NMAT by GMAC carries 120 objective type multiple choice questions across three sections.

Test takers can take NMAT by GMAC thrice; one original attempt followed by two retakes and the best score out of three attempts is considered for final admissions. The syllabus of NMAT by GMAC 2018 contains three sections - Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning Skills.
