About CMAT 2019
Common Management Admission Test, better known as CMAT is a national level postgraduate entrance exam pertaining to all management programmes. CMAT 2019 will be conducted on January 20. While CMAT was launched and conducted by AICTE in 2012, CMAT 2019 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). CMAT 2019 is a computer-based online exam of 3 hours comprising of multiple choice objective questions. The CMAT scores are required for admission to around 500 AICTE approved B-schools including University departments, constituent colleges, and management institutions across India. As many as 65,000 candidates take the test. Until 2018, it was administered by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) annually as per the regulations of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), Government of India.

CMAT Eligibility Criteria 2019
CMAT 2019 has a few basic eligibility criteria that candidates must meet before beginning the registration procedure. Below are the CMAT 2019 eligibility criteria-
- He/She must be a citizen of India.
- Final year students of Bachelor's programmes are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates must obtain a bachelor's degree of a minimum three-year duration from any discipline.
- Age Limitation- There is no age bar for applying for CMAT entrance exam.
Candidates will be eligible for MBA and PGDM programmes only after meeting the minimum requirements of each mentioned programme. Prospective test takers can check the CMAT 2019 eligibility criteria for the programmes below-
MBA & PGDM
Minimum three years duration Bachelor's degree with 50 per cent score for General/OBC category and 45 per cent for SC/ST applicants
Minimum three year duration Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years of work experience.
- Candidate must obtain at least 50 per cent (General/ OBC) and 45 per cent (SC/ST category)
Minimum three-year duration Bachelor's degree.
More than one year but less than two years

As per the official notification by the National Testing Agency (NTA), CMAT 2019 application form will be made available online from November 1, 2018, and the last date to submit the form is November 30, 2018. Prior to filling the CMAT application form 2019, candidates need to register themselves in the web account of NTA by providing their basic credentials. The application form can be successfully filled in three simple steps-
- Filling the online registration with basic credentials.
- Fill up the Application Form; Personal, Academic and Professional details, if any.
- Payment of Application Fee; Can be paid through Net banking, Debit/ Credit Card, and Cash deposit at SBI Bank.
While filling the application form of CMAT 2019, candidates need to select exam date and as many as three test cities as per their convenience. Examinees will be allotted test dates and exam centres on first come first serve basis and the allotment will solely depend on the availability of test slots in the choice of exam cities selected during the CMAT 2019 application procedure.
CMAT 2019 Exam Pattern
The exam conducting authority, National Testing Agency (NTA) prescribes the CMAT 2019 exam pattern. The total duration of the computer-based online CMAT exam is 180 minutes and it consists of four distinct sections, namely, Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Language Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness.
As per the CMAT exam pattern 2019, a total of 100 questions are equally divided amongst the four sections (25 X 4 = 100). Each question carries four marks and the maximum score that can be obtained is 400. Each correct answer will fetch +4 marks and each incorrect will be penalised with a negative marking of -1 mark.
